I should have known when I caught Harmony’s smug smirk that morning.

But I didn’t... had no clue she’d pulled a calumny on me, so when I marched into the Headwanker’s office and found him standing there with a troll-sized mace in his hands and bloody murder in his eyes...

It took me a second too long to figure out what was going on. I barely had time to sputter, “Look, mate, it’s not –“ before he caved my head in, and I finally got a taste of what I’d had coming even before I got a soul.
