Ducks: Queen of Frickin' Everything

I've never read them myself, but all of my fannish life, I remember hearing how horrible and misogynist they were. My friends who are into the BDSM scene even think they're awful, and give the whole scene a bad name. There's the whole question of consent that they have issues with -- that the Gorean women aren't given the right to give or withhold it. That an entire subculture has grown up around this garbage is just mind-boggling.

I suspect Dark Horse either has a fan on their editorial staff, or they're hoping to raise enough controversy to make a lot of money from the reprints.
