I'm so bummed that I forgot to sign up for Sweet Charity in time to sell my wares. *pout* But still, if you get an opportunity, RAINN is a terrific cause. Please bid on something already there!

And speaking of charity, I still have stuff up for grabs at fire_fic. Have you been dying for me to finish SO:B5? Bitch? Ever wanted to torture me by making me write Spuffy or C/A? For $50, I'll do it. I'll write ANYTHING, bar none, if you donate $50 to the cause. Just check out my post HERE and make your bid.

Ficathon stuff!

1.) Don't forget to bid for lots of multi-fandom goodies over at fire_fic. I'm offering up the long-languishing (and otherwise probably permanently so) Something Old: Book 5 for $100 (if a few of you want to band together and say, donate $20 each, that would work too, as long as fire_fic gets the hundred bucks. The same holds true for the $75 Bitch (Part 4 of the Scratch series), and the $50 fic of your choice. The only thing I'm looking for individual bids is the $25 per B/A(us) fic of your choice.

2.) If you love our heroine Buffy, take part in the "Buffy is the Hero, Damnit!" ficathon, run by ruuger! The fics can be shippy, but the primary focus needs to be on Buffy as an individual, and a hero! Sign ups end September 9! There's a ton of Buffy/Spike writers there, I'd love to see more gen Buffy or Buffy/Angel people! *hinthint*

3.) The results are in for my polls about my upcoming Liam-Angelus-Angel and B/A(us) ficathons in celebration of the airing of Surprise/Innocence ten years ago this coming January! Read more... )

~WOW. Is Vicent Kartheiser the first Whedonverse alum to come right out and say: "WOW, that job BLEW, man!"? Read more... )

Damn, boy! I mean, as curious as I am about things that happened behind the scenes on the various sets, it's still a huge shock to hear it from someone so bluntly. Is it me, or does that strike people as kind of unprofessional? I mean, yeah, he's entitled to his opinion -- especially since it was such a negative experience for him. I don't know, I guess I feel some loyalty to the cast, at least, and the only one he had anything positive to say about was Amy Acker. That rankles a bit. I do feel a bit bad for the boy -- as someone pointed out, it must suck to feel that disliked in your work. I mean, he's no Mark Blucas/Riley, is he?

Still, it seems to me that some kind of acknowledgment should be given that the show gave his career fuel it never would have otherwise.

Ultimately, either way, I can't blame him. We all know I rarely have anything nice to say about Whedon myself. And that I resent the hell out of the way the original shows got flushed down the toilet so Joss could go play with his precious, flawless fucking Firefly.

I don't know. On one hand, I feel for him, and he's entitled to say whatever he pleases. On the other, it bugs me.

(Edited to make myself clearer and maybe stop the onslaught. And hey, how about the rest of my post, huh? *points up and down*)

Fucking Jerry Lewis can kiss my ass. Dude, how stupid and fucking bigoted do you have to be to just start shouting "faggot" during a LIVE TELETHON? Yeah, ABC news, I'm sure he was shouting "Illiterate Fatty" -- 'cause that's such an effective insult.

FIC WRITER FOR SALE!

Er... or rather, "The Services of a..." *G*

[info]fire_fic is a Multifandom Charity Fic and Art community. For more information on the project and circumstance surrounding it, please look here.

Name: Ducks, [info]theantijoss
Email: ducksfanfic at gmail dot com
Fandom: BtVS/AtS
Up for Bids:
1.) For $100, I'll finish "Something Old: Book 5"
2.) For $75, I'll finish "Bitch"
3.) For $50, I'll do my level best to write anything in this fandom that you like. Yeah, that's right. Anything. At least 1000 words.
4.) For $25, I'll write the B/A or B/Aus fic of your choice.

Time: Here's the rub. My docket is chock full of fic and original work until the end of November, 2007. Anything you contract me to write, depending on the length and amount of work involved, won't be available until the end of January, 2008. I want to make sure I have enough time to do it right. If this is too long for you to wait, I completely understand. But I'm always looking for an impetus to finish my languishing products, and I think helping a family in need is the best one I could imagine.

I'm willing to do one of each of the above. First come, first served. :)

Any questions, please feel free to comment here or contact me at the email above. For samples of my work, go to http://www.ducksfanfic.net.

HUGE kudos to [info]sweptawaybayou and [info]lostakasha for pulling this together for their friend.

To bid, please reply at the Fire_fic post HERE.
